Tip #1: It is advisable that you and your partner go see your practitioner and consider genetic testing. It is more likely that you would have a successful pregnancy if both your bodies are up for the task. To find out whether you're in baby-making shape – and to learn what changes may help – schedule a preconception check-up with your doctor or midwife. It may take awhile to get an appointment right away or resolve any health concerns immediately, however, taking these steps will help you conceive faster in the long run.
Tip #2: Figure out when your partner is ovulating. The biggest secret to getting your partner pregnant faster is knowing when she ovulates (releases an egg from her ovary). Using ovulation test strips would help. You can purchase them at any supermarket or pharmacy in the pregnancy test section (where the condoms are *lol*).
Tip #3: Get yourself ready for lots of action when the time is here! Once you know your partner is ovulating then you should plan to have sex during those most fertile days. From three days before ovulation through the day of ovulation. If you and your partner are waiting to have sex until your most fertile time, make sure you haven`t gone through too long of a dry spell beforehand. There is a chance that there is build up of dead sperm in your semen when it`s go time!
Tip #4: Prepare yourself and get your sperm in top fighting shape! You need your soldiers to be in their best shape in order to fertilize her egg. Here are a few things that could help:
Cut back on alcohol (studies show that drinking daily can reduce testosterone levels and sperm counts and raise the number of abnormal sperm).
Nix tobacco and recreational drugs (these can cause poor sperm function).
Eat enough of certain key nutrients like zinc, folic acid, calcium, and vitamins C and D – that helps create plentiful, strong, wiggly sperm.
Avoid hot tubs, saunas, and hot baths, since heat kills sperm.
Tip #5: Just relax and let everything happen naturally. My partner and I took 4 months to detox by going off birth-control pills before she conceived. With just one try during ovulation, we got pregnant.
