Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Garden was one of the first locations that we visited. We brought along new camera which was gifted by her cousin Larry who's a photographer from San Francisco. It was a cold but beautiful day. I highly recommend everyone to check this location out for photos. The baby shower was amazing as Monica sisters and girlfriends put it together for us. The theme for the baby shower was pandas. We decided to do a Jack & Jill kinda baby shower with all our friends. It was a huge success! Thanks to all our friends who came out and showered Avery with all the wonderful gifts.
BABY SHOWER GAMES / ACTIVITIES: 1. Diaper Poo - Chocolate was placed in 5 different diapers and everyone had to figure out what chocolate was in the diaper. 2. Doodle on Onesies - Blank Onesies were provided for everyone to doodle on. 3. Beer Baby Bottle Drinking - Fastest one to drink their beer out of the bottle wins. 4. 50/50 - Guess Monica's Tummy Size. 5. Scrapbook - Take a picture and design a page for us as a memory. 6. Arts & Activities area for the children - Reggio-inspired children's activities provided by Monica's colleague from their toddler programs. Going through our second ultrasound check up and recalling that special day in December. Monica and I went to Brooke Radiology to get our second ultrasound check up. It was amazing to see our baby's development, his beating heart beat, and confirm that I was going to have a son. He didn't look like a bean anymore like our first ultrasound check up. He looks kinda like a little alien now. It became more real for me that I am going to become a father.
What was your initial feeling when you saw your child's ultrasound? Leave your comment below. My partner Monica has been adamantly telling me to read up on the subject of becoming a father. I dislike reading books, hence why I decided to look up interesting articles online for fathers. It came to my attention that there weren't many intriguing content for new fathers. I've seen some blogs here and there through search engines, I looked on YouTube.com for videos of what to expect as a father, however, the videos were terrible and not informative. I decided to start my own Daddy's corner where I can share my experience as a father-to-be with all my current father friends and friends who will one day become a father as well. I spent hours yesterday figuring out a good catchy website name for my new inspired project as a baby daddy. Ironically, I was going through memory lane with my past life experience with AsianAvenue and decided to choose www.daddyavenue.com over my initial domain name www.daddycentre.com Here i am with my first post. Hopefully you will continue to check back as I map out this new website of mine. This site will dedicate a personal section of my journey as a father and parenthood. My goal of this site will be to share experiences of fathers in Vancouver, British Columbia Canada and expanding it worldwide. Blogging with fathers about their experiences as a parent/partner/lover to reviewing baby gizmos & gadgets to setting up meetups for fathers while keeping it simple. |
